Mr. Bill TenHoor is a senior executive and policy consultant for AHP Healthcare Solutions and is expert at facilitating the work of governmental entities, insurers, providers, foundations, and advocacy organizations transforming health and behavioral health care delivery systems. He brings four decades of C-suite experience and expertise in health care and behavioral health, disabilities, and rare disorders. Among his accomplishments as a consultant, policy manager, business development executive, and entrepreneur, Mr. TenHoor co-launched a behavioral health management company and led its business development functions, establishing new business with Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans as well as major federal and state government health plans, including Medicaid plans, state government plans, and the civilian health care system for military dependents. He was a principal in Advanced Dispute Resolution Systems, LLC, a national mediation company, Unison Corporation, a health consulting company and a development executive for a multi-state psychiatric hospital holding company. Mr. TenHoor also served as a federal senior policy manager on the immediate staff of three successive U.S. Secretaries of Health and Human Services; was the co-author and assistant chief of the National Institute of Mental Health Community Support Program; and the Director of Training and Development at the U.S. Administration on Aging. Mr. TenHoor is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the College for Behavioral Health Leadership. He is an in-demand speaker on health care reform, organizational transformation, and program, financing, and policy issues.
