Brita Loftus, M.P.H., M.S.W., LCSW, is a senior program manager II for Advocates for Human Potential (AHP) and the program director of Access to Recovery (ATR), a Massachusetts Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS) program that provides opportunities for clients to receive a variety of substance use recovery support services through a voucher payment system. Ms. Loftus works with funders, national partner organizations, providers, and government entities to conduct community outreach to build strong relationships and networks with local stakeholders to effectively serve clients and achieve systems change. She provides comprehensive support and leadership to initiatives that help people in recovery from substance use disorders (SUDs) and people re-entering the community after incarceration. She has extensive knowledge of and experience with the challenges facing people who are struggling with or are in recovery from SUDs, including opioid use and overdose prevention strategies, and is a champion of recovery-oriented systems of care (ROSCs). She possesses strong skills in policy and practice design, program coordination, strategic planning, community outreach and cultivation, and communication. Ms. Loftus received her M.P.H. and M.S.W. degrees from Boston University.
