ANNOUNCEMENT

AHP Expands to Florida: New Office in Tampa to Open in November

Advocates for Human Potential, Inc. (AHP) is excited to announce the opening of a new office in Tampa, Florida. The office is currently open and will hold an official ribbon-cutting ceremony in early December. This office will serve as a hub for AHP’s expert-driven solutions in behavioral health, substance use services, public health, housing, and workforce development.

New Office Location:

15310 Amberly Dr.
Suite #190
Tampa, FL 33647

At the core of AHP is the continuous effort to improve behavioral health and human systems to help organizations and people to reach their full potential. We have been doing this as an organization across the country for many years and recently, in some very large metropolitan areas. Our just cause is to see that every community across America is equipped with the most appropriate and effective social infrastructure, enabling people to achieve their full potential. Through research, outreach, and interactions we’ve come to learn that the need is dire in the state of Florida, so expansion here is a priority that falls directly in line with our mission.

—Daniel Collings, vice president of the Administrative Services Entity (ASE) at AHP

This expansion allows AHP to extend its impact and provide local communities with a range of services designed to support public health initiatives, improve access to care, and foster innovation across systems. From consulting and training to program evaluation and policy development, AHP will bring decades of expertise to Florida to support the health and human services sector.

Florida is a key area for growth in the behavioral health and public health fields, and AHP is committed to empowering local communities with the resources and solutions they need.

Mr. Collings continued, “Florida is the fastest growing state with the highest population—it makes sense to focus and help here where the needs exponentially outpace the assistance. The state has no individual income tax. It is one of the most visited states with a large amount of tourism, federal and state money, along with a climate which makes it suited for homelessness and health issues to grow and incubate all year around. Its proximity to Latin America and being a major port-state directly contributes to some of the issues as well. With its vast economy and large sums of money—resources will be positioned to confront these and other issues. Florida has the same issues that California has… and Florida’s issues are growing at a faster rate—so we are here to help! We want to directly enact lasting change in the health and human services landscape of Florida and beyond!”

The new office will offer an array of services, including the following:

  • Veteran’s assistance, well-being, and access to essential resources
  • Specialized Grants Management and Administration, 3rd party compliance and funds distribution
  • Behavioral health consulting and training
  • Substance use disorder treatment and recovery support solutioning
  • Housing and homelessness solutions
  • Workforce development and job training programs
  • Policy and program development

Research and evaluation expertise, including the following:

  • Collaborating with federal, state, and local governments and community-based programs to design and conduct projects that range from small evaluations of program interventions to large-scale, multisite studies.
  • Developing data collection instruments, protocols, and systems to measure implementation, process, outcomes, and performance.
  • Analyzing primary and secondary data including large state and national data sets to answer key questions.
  • Providing data technical support.
  • Reporting in timely and innovative ways to help improve programs and practice.

As AHP continues to grow, its mission remains the same: to empower individuals, organizations, and communities to reach their full potential.
