LEGAL NOTICE

Know Your Rights

Applicants have rights under federal employment laws, which include the following:

Policy Statement: AHP intends to fulfill its Equal Opportunity Policy and Affirmative Action Plan. The Plan reflects AHP’s current efforts, past actions, and intentions. Noah Shifman, AHP’s president and CEO, supports the Affirmative Action Plan and has tasked the director of Human Resources with implementing it. As such, the director will periodically analyze all personnel actions to ensure AHP adheres to its stated intentions.

Management is responsible for continually monitoring all personnel actions within their areas, ensuring full compliance with the Equal Opportunity Policy and Affirmative Action Plan.

AHP’s employment practices are nondiscriminatory and based on job-related factors. Factors such as race, religion, gender, national origin or ancestry, citizenship, disability, veteran status, military service, age, sexual orientation, and genetic information are not job-related. AHP’s Affirmative Action Plan actively monitors these practices, which include but are not limited to

  • Recruiting and hiring applicants, and training and promoting employees in all job classifications without discrimination and in accordance with the Equal Opportunity Policy;
  • Basing promotion decisions solely on valid job requirements in accordance with equal employment opportunity principles; and
  • Administering all personnel actions, including compensation, benefits, transfers, layoffs, return from layoffs, company-sponsored training, and social and recreational programs, fairly.

AHP will never retaliate against anyone who files a complaint under the Equal Opportunity Policy or Affirmative Action Plan. AHP will ensure a workplace free of harassment, intimidation, threats, coercion, or discrimination for anyone exercising their rights under these policies.

The Persons with Disabilities and Veterans Affirmative Action Plan is available for review in the Human Resources Department. For further information or disability-related accommodations in the application process, please contact Jim Klepper, Director, Human Resources at jklepper@ahpnet.com or 978-261-1404.
