IMPACT PROJECT

Reshaping Crisis Response in California: The Impact of Crisis Care Mobile Units (CCMUs)

The CCMU program is transforming California’s behavioral health crisis response by providing mobile crisis intervention for individuals when and where they need it, reducing instances of hospitalization and increasing accessibility to emergency care. See here how, with AHP’s help building infrastructure and managing technical assistance for the implementation of this program, the continuum of behavioral health care is being expanded. The CCMU program uses funding from the Behavioral Health Continuum Infrastructure Program (BHCIP) and Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act.
