Chief Financial Officer

Damien Newman, M.B.A., CPA, is chief financial officer (CFO) for Advocates for Human Potential (AHP) and brings almost 20 years of experience in financial management to AHP. As CFO, Mr. Newman oversees the day-to-day fiscal operations at AHP and is responsible for the preparation, analysis, and reporting of AHP’s financial results at the corporate and project levels. He, with his team, works with business unit directors, project managers, and the business development functions to create, monitor, revise, and submit project budgets. Mr. Newman and his team are also responsible for all regulatory reporting requirements, including preparing annual submissions to the National Institutes of Health in order to maintain AHP’s Negotiated Indirect Cost Rate Agreement (NICRA). Mr. Newman serves as the liaison to outside auditors, tax accountants, and AHP’s banking institution.

Prior to joining AHP, Mr. Newman managed the accounting activities of the $150 million Aircraft Management and Charter Flight Divisions of the Sentient Flight Group, LLC. He assisted the corporate controller with the integration of accounting activities from six business locations across the United States to the Weymouth, MA, headquarters resulting from a merger with JetDirect Aviation, LLC. In this role, Mr. Newman provided full service response to the aircraft owners and other high-net-worth clients. Mr. Newman spent 4 years in public accounting and is a licensed CPA in the state of Massachusetts.
